One day to go

    One day to go before heading off on the Tasmanian Trail ride. Went on a 14km shake down ride around Devonport in the morning keeping my wife company while she was jogging. Did a couple of hill sprints to get the heart rate up. Much prefer riding to running any day. Then started packing....

  • 2x second hand tires
  • 3x sets of brake pads
  • 1x 10 speed Shimano chain
  • Second hand derailleur
  • My AyUp lights
  • 2x shifter cables
  • Stans tubeless sealant
  • Syringe for injecting steroids tire sealant
  • 2x valve cores
  • Both wet and dry chain lube
  • Cable ties
  • Electrical tape
  • Bike multi-tool
  • Leatherman multi-tool
  • Rear mud guard (in case of wet rides)
  • Puncture repair kit
  • Tyre levers

Also packed my riding shorts and jerseys, camera, GoPro, bike rain jacket, enough socks and underwear for the six days and clothes for after the ride, sunscreen (maybe a little hopeful seeing the weather forecast for the next few days, sleeping bag and pillow, clear and tinted safety glasses. Will take my laptop for updates, Garmin 500 to log the ride, bike lock
